Los Angeles Fire Relief Fundraiser

Dear Community,

My name is Minerva Hanna and I am new to the DC community as I moved this past August from Los Angeles, California. As we are amidst a frosty winter, people from my hometown and surrounding areas are facing peril in the most destructive wildfire in the state's history.

The devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have left a trail of heartbreak and destruction. Entire neighborhoods have been engulfed, lives upended, and families displaced. Schools and Businesses are simply gone.

These weren't just houses, these were homes filled with memories, both physical and emotional that are now lost. The looming heartbreak for those experiencing it in real time are near and dear to me and others in our community.

I am reaching out to ask for your support for the countless people in Los Angeles who are hurting right now. This is an opportunity for the community to come together and serve our fellow peers even if it is from across the nation.
