North Dakota Rally/ Sioux Ceremony
Donation protected
On August 22nd, there will be a rally at University Park (4:30 PM) in Grand Forks in support of retaining North Dakota as an option on the ballot for UND's namesake going forward. Additionally, this rally is in opposition to the leadership that Robert Kelley has shown at UND and a call for his immediate resignation due to the lack of trust from a strong majority of UND stakeholders.
Finally, a delegation from the Spirit Lake and Standing Rock Sioux tribes will conduct a ceremony honoring the tribal elders who gave the gift of the Fighting Sioux name to UND in the name of education back in 1969.
The funds raised in this campaign will cover the transportation and lodging costs of those involved in the ceremony.
