New York Will Miss The Creek - Help Rebecca Trent
All proceeds raised in 30 days go to Rebecca Trent of The Creek and The Cave
I am devastated that COVID has claimed one of the most beloved businesses, comedy stages, and communities to ever exist in New York City, The Creek and The Cave.
Rebecca Trent, one of my best friends in the entire world, held on to her business as long as she possibly could. I love her so much and I want to help her cover the ungodly expense of closing a restaurant and bar business in New York.
There are literally thousands of up and coming artists who have benefitted from Rebecca's generosity over the 14 years she has run the place. From her annual self-funded community Thanksgiving dinners to providing free stages to develop new shows, free studio space for podcasting, an annual awards show recognizing burgeoning comics, to even letting many artists who were down on their luck live in her home.
Rebecca has tried her best to take care of so many of us. Let's take care of her for a change.
Rebecca didn't ask me to do this and I apologize if this causes her discomfort in any way. I really hope this helps.
Here is one of our happiest moments as friends when we had just stolen the first place trophy after The Creek and The Cave washed out of the annual comedian's softball tournament organized by the great Dave Lester.
