Near fatal car fire destroys all belongings
Donation protected
Our dear friend Laura Hopkinson’s car caught on fire while driving home from Christmas with family. While she was driving, about 5 hours away from home, all the car lights went on. A truck driver who noticed smoke from her car caught her attention and helped her quickly get out of the car within 20 seconds before the whole thing caught on fire. She lost most all of her belongings including her computer with all pictures, clothes, make up, heirloom jewelry from her mother, sentimental items, Christmas presents, and more. Please consider donating to help her get back on her feet this new year. The fire rescuers stated that the accident was most likely due to her old O-ring not being removed during the last oil change causing the entire new filter to pop off and spill the entire contents of oil. Insurance will not cover anything since the car was a 2011 model Please consider donating and helping in any way that you can! All funds will be sent directly to Laura’s bank account to be used by her discretion.
