We are NECROMURDER! an group of independent filmmakers with a passion for loud music and 80s horror movies!

Logline:  A talented rock star from New York City faces the demise of his music career at the hands of his evil band mate, who abuses his power as he owns the music rights of his compositions and steals all his money.

NECROMURDER is an over-the-top, rocking, horror/comedy written, directed and acted by Pablo C. Vergara. The movie focuses on the black metal genre of music and it's inspired by a real crime that shook the metal world in the early nineties. 'The Setting', or the first chapter of the movie, has been shot and COMPLETED. The second and third chapters will include 'The Conflict' and 'The Resolution' of the story and that's where we're trying to raise funds for! It will also include...zombies! Trips to the Underworld, Voodoo Witch Doctors, vampires, and, of course, a totally badass and unique, orchestral, metal soundtrack all wrapped up in an eighties style horror packed adventure!


Our director Pablo C. Vergara is currently in NEW YORK CITY promoting the film, where he will be doing some Live performances, Street interactions, Conventions and Screenings as well as Filming new scenes for Chapter II of the movie.

We have a lot of the production settled, actors, crew and locations but we're missing some funding to keep it going strong. 

The funds are usually used for lodging, food, traveling costs and paying the team for their professional work.

ABOUT THE FILM:

Synopsis:   

This is a horror/black metal story. Torbjorn Wongraven Aka. Azmodeus and Sigurd Ericssen Aka. Morbid Blackstar are rock stars by day and demons by night. Two musicians from the black metal genre fight for the title of "King of Evil" while their self-destructive lifestyle and obsession for darkness sends them on a downward spiral where blood will be spilled and a serious crime will be committed.

Sigurd Ericssen struggles to make ends meet, while his toxic ex-wife, Pearl, demands money for their sick son and he faces losing his custody. He fights through adversity to try to keep afloat while his entire world is crumbling, and his obsession for darkness resurrects a voice from the past that haunts him. Will he make it?

Based on a real crime that shook the metal music world in the early nineties.

WORD ON THE DIRECTOR:
The production cost of the first installment of the film was around $15,000 out of my own money, (what we call in the industry "shoe-string budget") not including the costs of the technical aspect (crew and equipment) which was facilitated by the film school, and also found on my own through ads and networking. Of course, I am not counting the very expensive soundtrack that I had already created with my own band DYNASTY OF DARKNESS. 


Word from the Director:  

I am a musician, actor and director with an MFA in filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. I won a half scholarship for my hard work, and I produced, wrote, directed, and acted as the lead for NECROMURDER (yes, I am Sigurd!). I also composed all the music for the entire film with my band, Dynasty of Darkness. I have four feature screenplays, two of which are published, and one that moved from quarter-finals and into the semi-finals in the International Creative Words Awards in the horror category. I truly enjoy writing horror films and some people seem to think I'm good at it! My dream is to finish NECROMURDER and then shoot my many other films further on and establish myself as a good horror director!

I am constantly creating content and writing stories. This one is by far my most ambitious and wildest project to date. I love it and I can't wait to share it with you! About the film: 

When I started this project over a year ago, I was determined to create a very rocking horror film! I wanted something that could merge awesome music and Film Noir style cinema, but let's not necessarily call it a musical...more like a horror film with a killer metal soundtrack. And so NECROMURDER was born! My love for metal music and eighties horror films led me to create a real cool screenplay that was evaluated by Claude Kerven countless times (yes, he actually wrote a script for Bruce Willis!), and  by other industry professionals until I got my seventh draft ready. Then we started rolling cameras! This means that the story is really pretty badass! The movie features a lot of old school visual effects and makeup artists from the MUD Institute who loved the project so much that they even donated their materials to us!

That's Right! Mr. Mark Rolston (Aliens, Shawshank Redemption) Tom Sizemore (Heat, Natural Born Killers, Saving Private Ryan) and Johnathan Pienaar (Blood Diamond, Troy, Empire of Sharks) are all part of our cast for the next installment of the film! The screenlplay is written and they loved their characters.
