Need Help Paying For My Eye Procedure
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Giselle, I'm the one on the very right in the photo above. This fundraiser is for my Keratoconus eye procedure. I was diagnosed with Keratoconus in March of 2020. Keratoconus is an eye disease in which the cornea thins and bulges outward into a cone-like shape.
Certain lighting creates glare and I cannot see when it comes to words, street signs, images, and more. Glasses or contacts will not fix the problem, I need the Epi-on procedure to stop them from getting any worse.
The two day, one-hour procedure consists of reshaping the cornea and crosslinking the eyes to prevent them from getting worse. The procedure is $10,500 for both eyes and because the procedure is not FDA approved, insurance will not cover any part of it.
Without the procedure, my eyesight will continue to get worse and it could lead to vision loss. This cost is a burden to my family that we cannot afford. Any donation amount will help ease that burden. Thank you.
