Need To Breathe - Grant County Fire District 7

Tax deductible

High Rollers Auxiliary is moving online for our fundraising this year. To be sure, we LOVE our annual fundraisers and the partnerships we have with Del Red Pub, Akins Fresh Market, and other local businesses. Thank you too, to the generous love and financial support that we receive from the Soap Lake community and surrounding area as you take part in our bake sales, biscuit and gravy feeds, and community events like our annual Easter egg hunt.

The global pandemic has slowed our roll this year and so we are going digital with our fundraising efforts. Once again we are asking our community to rally around our volunteer firefighters and help us secure the funds we need to replace the air canisters for our SCBA gear.

The self-contained breathing apparatus, or SCBA, is the fundamental tool that provides firefighters with airway protection from toxic gas and dangerous particulates resulting from fire. With this equipment, our brave volunteers can safely perform fire suppression, search and rescue, and life/property saving operations.

Our current inventory of air canisters is 15 years old and will be out of compliance by December 1st, 2021. We must replace these air bottles before December or go without until we can purchase replacements. Each air canister costs just under $700 and we need to purchase 36 canisters to replace our inventory. Our community has already generously donated more than $2,300 towards this effort. We are asking you to help us raise the rest of the money we need to get this done so we can continue to perform our critical mission of saving the lives and property of Grant County Fire District 7.
