Honor Neighborhood Hero Who Stopped Rape
Donation protected
Hello Everyone! My name is Dolores Clark. In August of 2004, my son Akio Clark was severely injured in efforts to rescue a young woman who was being attacked by several male parties. His quick and unselfish actions stopped the attack however, resulted in the loss of his left eye. Later on in 2005 Akio was honored as "Hero" recognized by the Denver Police Department and awarded with funding from the nonprofit "Daniels Fund" to help assist with eye treatments.
Today Akio still a vibrant young man strives to progress and rise above all obstacles life may have along the way however, the time has come after sixteen years to get treatment for his prosthetic eye. Akio is still a caring person, hard working and runs his own road side assistance business. His business income has taken a hard blow due to the current Pandemic Covid-19! Without enough income to cover health insurance Akio is unable to afford the eye treatment he needs in order to stay healthy and infection free. I am joining Akio in asking
for donations to help defray the costs of a new prosthetic eye which should have been replaced a decade ago so is in desperate need of replacement today. His costly specialized glasses as well need replaced. Please consider giving.
Akio would give the shirt off his back if needed! His love for life and people (quite the people person) is exemplified in his polite mannerism's . This support will make it possible for Akio to also continue to earn a living and to do his work as an entrepreneur providing a service to the community as well. However, without he can't afford the expensive eye treatment. I am Akio's mother. I have watched him go from warrior to conquer getting back on his feet. At the time of his injury he was a bus driver. He truly loved driving the buses because he was able to drive and do customer service, he loves helping/serving others communicating with good old hospitality & chivalry too (learned from his great-grandmother who helped raise him) ! We need more people like Akio in the world ! I am asking for your contributions on his behalf, he doesn't think he deserves it, I know he does. He made the sacrifice of life on the line for that young woman in 2004. He went through a lot to regain confidence in himself and life because of this horrible life changing incident. We would be ever grateful for your contributions that will make way for Akio to continue to be a productive part of society!
