Thank you so much for taking the time to check out more about our adoption! Adoption is something that has taken a strong grip on both Joseph and I’s heart. When we began talking about starting a family a little over a year ago, we pictured having our first child the way most people picture starting a family…biologically. Me carrying the child and Joseph and I being able to feel it kick and see my belly grow, all that beautiful stuff! But I’ve always felt like God is taking Joseph and I down a path of doing a lot of ordinary things in an unordinary way. We started feeling like God was telling us that our first child was not going to be biological, and after fighting that thought for a little while, our hearts changed. BIG TIME. We’ve been able to talk with couples that have gone through the adoption process, and while some of the messy stories seem like they should have scared us off, it made our hearts even more on fire for the little baby God has planned for us. We can not get over that we get to go through this. This process, that is such a tangible example of God’s love. Our God is so so SO good, and He knows the desires of our hearts better than we do. He knows the desire that Joseph and I have to start a family. He knows the desires that we have to be able to adopt a child. And He’s making that happen! I literally lose my breath when I think about Joseph and I’s baby. The baby God knew since they beginning of time. OUR baby, who Jesus died on the cross for. I can’t believe we get to go through this journey to bring our baby home, and I thank God every day that he knows our hearts so well! Through this time we are going to need lots and LOTS of prayers. Prayers for Joseph and I, prayers for our baby, and prayers for our babies biological mother. Joseph and I want God to be all over this process, from us, our baby, our babies birth mom, the lawyers, the agency we will work with and anyone else along the road and we would love your help along the way! We also want to be able to adopt debt free, so if you are able and feel the Lord calling you to help us out financial, any donation you make will be appreciated more than you could ever know!
