Neely’s Myasthenia battle

As many of you know, last March Neely Freeman was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis. Her type is called "seronegative", which is even more rare.  For those of you that know Neely, know that she is a strong woman. She has been through a lot in her young life and has always had a positive attitude. She shows kindness to everyone and is one of the most giving people you will ever meet. She is truly one of the best nurses. She is a wonderful mother, wife, friend, sister, aunt, co-worker, and everything else in between.

Neely has been through ALOT in the last year. She has been hospitalized 4 times and has had surgery to remove her thymus gland. She has had to have respiratory support being on a ventilator due to this awful disease. She has had treatments consisting of plasmapheresis, IVIG, and now a new medication called Rituxan. Neely's case seems more severe than a lot of cases of MG. Her neurologist is "somewhat out of ideas" as far as her treatment is concerned. Jonathan and Neely have been researching other Neurologists and other specialists that may be able to help her. She is seeking out a second opinion and the possibility of getting on some research trials, since the normal, mainline treatment for MG has not shown great results for her. 

Along with the regular costs of life, medical bills have started to show up. There is also the possibility of needing to pay for some treatments that are not covered by insurance to try all that is possible to get Neely back to a better quality of life.
