Neil Reinhardt for Loss of Personal Belongings
Donation protected
Hi, I am the mother of Neil Reinhardt. Neil was renting an apartment on North Street at the base of the bridge on Fort Myers Beach at the time that Hurricane Ian devasted the area. Fortunately, Neil evacuated just before the storm but had no time to retrieve any of his personal belongings, important documents or anything of value before the storm entered the area. Neil did not have renter's insurance and his unit was completely destroyed. Water had risen above the ceiling level and carried many of his belongings away in the storm surge. Few walls were left standing, furniture, large appliances, and cabinetry that were still inside the unit buried any personal belongings that were left inside. Neil has no clothing, no shoes, no toiletries or other essentials. He only has a few items of clothing for him to return back to work at Publix. Neil had just purchased an electric drumset and had joined a band in order to make some extra money and to fulfill his passion for music. His new drum set was destroyed. He lost everything from his bed, mattress, dressers, sofa, loveseat, recliner, television, entertainment and gaming systems, kitchen table, kitchen appliances and household goods that he will need to be able to restart a life. Neil will be staying with me until he can recover the funds necessary to find a new apartment to rent and refurnish the necessities. 100% of the funds raised here will go directly to Neil to help him restart a new life. I am grateful that I still have my son, his personal belongings can all be replaced with your help. My heart goes out to all others who have experienced a loss and to the community we all live in.
