Our beloved, Nellie Rarang, passed unexpectedly on July 31st 2023. Nellie had just turned 21 this past February 1st and had so much more life to live. She is survived by her mother Rowena, her two older sisters Brianna and Rhonna Lyn, her older brother David, her younger brother Lawrence, her two nieces Alonna and Avery, and so many more family and friends who were blessed by her love.
Nellie enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Everyone loved having Nellie around because of her positive attitude and the energy she emanated. If you were around her, you were guaranteed a smile or a laugh. She was the best auntie to all her nieces and nephews and somehow she was able to capture the funniest videos of them. She was known as the baby whisperer as she would get so gigil with babies and would rather let her arms go numb and fall off before letting someone else hold them. She had so much love to give and she gave it every chance she got.
Nellie was dedicated to living her life the way she wanted, in the ways that made her happy. For almost two years, she worked for IPS Security as a security guard. During those years, she was allowed the opportunity to travel to new places, meet new people, and experience the lively events which she loved the most about the job. Nellie was also the most caring and selfless person, so it was no surprise that she decided to pursue a career in the medical field. On May 23rd, she received her Medical Assistant certification and was scheduled to graduate on August 25th from Treasure Island Job Corps. We wish the world could have witnessed all the good she would have done for people.
Her unexpected passing has left her loved ones devastated. A loss we could have never prepared for. So, we humbly ask for assistance in helping her family in preparing to lay Nellie to rest and honoring her memory in a way that she deserves. Please consider donating any amount within your budget or sharing this link—anything will be appreciated.
