Nelson's Family's Hurricane Relief
Donation protected
Dear Neighbors,
The devastating aftermath of the hurricane in Puerto Rico hits really close to home for us.
Our beloved doorman, Nelson, who looks out for us and our home here, has a daughter and two granddaughters in Puerto Rico. Their home was damaged in the storm. They are without electricity and the country estimates at least 5 months before power is restored.
As you can imagine, no electricity will be very disruptive to their lives- - no air conditioning, computers, TV or phones to call Nelson. While they are working to figure out a plan, Nelson is considereing flying them to New York so the girls can go to school or at least minimize the disruption this catastrophe will cause them over the next few months- - perhaps years.
If all of us contribute a little, together we can make a big difference for someone many of us see daily. Let's come together as a community we can be proud of.
Please donate what you can- - and THANK YOU.
