Nelson’s Headstone

Dear cherished family and friends,
In the quiet moments of reflection, I find myself searching for the words that might offer peace in the wake of an unimaginable loss. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Nelson Webber's passing—a beacon of joy extinguished far too soon.
Just days after celebrating his 24th year of life on May 12th, Nelson's vibrant journey was tragically cut short. His infectious laughter and unwavering optimism were the soul of every gathering. He was the spark that lit up our lives, constantly striving to better himself and the world around him.
On the evening of May 19th, 2024, at approximately 7:30 PM, Nelson was taken from us in an absence of traffic lights. A senseless hit-and-run incident claimed his last breath, leaving behind a silence too profound to bear. A reckless driver, ignoring the sanctity of life, shattered our dreams and fled, leaving us to grapple with the reality of Nelson's absence.
Nelson was not just a man with dreams; he was a dream in himself. He envisioned a future filled with love, laughter, and the tender embrace of the daughter he eagerly awaited. He was my first love, a guiding brother, a father, and a loyal friend. The one I believed would be my forever now watches over us from heaven. As we navigate this sorrowful time, we face the challenge of bringing Nelson home one final time. He rests at the Medical Examiner's Office, awaiting our call to honor him with the farewell he deserves. We yearn to lay him to rest, to gather around him with love and memories, and to bid him a peaceful journey onward.
In this moment of need, we turn to you, our extended family, for support. Your contributions, no matter the size, will help us provide Nelson with a dignified departure. Each donation is more than a gift; it is a testament to the love and life that Nelson shared with us all.
Please hold Nelson's family in your hearts and prayers. May your kindness be a beacon of hope in these dark times.
With gratitude and love, Gabriela Arroyo, God's embrace is eternal, and so is our gratitude for your generosity. God bless you all.
