Nely Palacios for Baby Isaiah

My name is Elma Garcia, a family friend of Nely, Nely was my Granddaughter,Jasmine's best friend, Nely was always a welcomed member at so many of our family events, we will truly miss her. I have started this fundraiser with the permission and for Nelys family to help cover expenses, while her sister, Lucy and Mother Miriam stay home to care for Baby Isaiah.
Nely had originally went into the hospital in regards to pain in her lower stomach before Christmas Eve on December 22 , She spent 6 days in the hospital to find out that she had gallstones in her gallbladder. Surgery was not an option, due to the fact that she was so far along in her pregnancy and tested positive for covid. On December 28, she was able to return home although uncomfortable she did what she could. She was feeling terribly ill and could no longer feel the baby move which caused concern. She was then rushed into Parkland on December 29. On January 2nd around 12 am Nely texted and mentioned that she was going to have an Emergency C-section due to her oxygen, dropping dangerously low . That was the last time, her family communicated with Nely. Her son Was born at 6 months in the womb and 12 weeks prematurely weighting 3lbs on January 2,2021 @ 12:45 am.
Nely never got the chance to meet her son for the first time nor did she get to name him . She doesn’t get the chance to experience motherhood after all her sacrifices.
Just when things can’t get any more painful, their father, Miguel Mendez Palacios who was disabled, was suddenly feeling ill, being stubborn and trying to fight this sickness at home, he had to be rushed on January 18, 2021 into Baylor hospital where he also tested positive for covid. Nely was very close and cared for her father, she never got the opportunity to say her goodbyes, nor was she aware of what was going on with him. Miguel passed away on January 29 2021 at 1:44pm. Nely will never know she and her father were both battling this deadly disease at the same time. Nely fought a long battle, and fought hard every single minute of her life for her son Isaiah. Unfortunately, she succumbed to the complications and she passed away on February 6th 2021 @ 1:40 pm.
We will miss Nely, she was the sweetest young woman, we are sad that she left us, in the most tragic way however, we Thank God for leaving Baby Isaiah, he grows stronger everyday and is truly a miracle baby. God is good!!!
