My Senior Project Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ella and this is the final part of my Senior Project.
Over the course of this year I have been putting together an art exhibition to raise money for a non profit organisation called the Butterfly Art Project in Cape Town, South Africa. This project is a learning centre for children that uses art as a tool to promote healing and process trauma in a healthy way.
My intention was to hold an exhibition, which was supposed to have taken place at the end of April, to raise funds for Butterfly Art Project. Sadly this final piece of my project had to be canceled (for obvious safety reasons), and the only way I can now complete my project is online.
As I wont be able to sell my pieces ( I didn't get to properly finish, frame and price them), I am simply asking for donations towards the project instead. Even the smallest donation of $5 dollars will make a huge difference; with the exchange rate in South Africa ( currently 1 USD = 17.37 R) any money raised in dollars will make a much bigger contribution. It only takes 150 rands ($8) for a child to attend for a whole month.
Below are a few of my pieces that were intended for the exhibition.
Pomegranate still life, 2019
charcoal and white pencil on born paper
22' x 18'
Pumpkin Shell, 2019
oil on aluminuim
9' x12' (image shown is cropped)
Girl Swimming, 2019
water soluble oils on cardboard
7.5' x 8'
Blue, 2020
oil on wood
12' x12' (image shown is cropped)
Ink Figure Study 1 & 2, 2020
ink on paper
6' x9'
Once my goal amount has been reached, or possibly even exceeded, I will transfer the funds I have raised directly to the organisation.

Please spread the word by sharing this with as many people as possible- those children could use our help more than ever now! And if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Lastly, I would like to say a big thank you to the Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm for giving me the tools to do this amazing project, and to all those who have supported me in the process.
Thank you for your support and stay safe.
