Nepal Fundraiser: Our Everest Adventure!

Hello I'm Chesa. Thank you for taking a moment to support Tami, Hailey & me on what will surely be a life changing adventure. Any amount of money (no matter how small) or words of encouragement are greatly appreciated as we embark on this journey to experience the people and culture of Nepal.

This trip was inspired by a BIG dream of a close family friend. At 16 years of age, River Savante will be the youngest American female to Summit Everest. When she made the announcement, I knew I needed to support her. What I didn't know was this would mean taking part in some of that journey with her. River encouraged me to sign up for the Everest Base Camp adventure she would guide as part of her training. Now I’m a pretty adventurous person but…… EVEREST??? Enter childhood friend/co-conspirator/adventure seeking bestie Tami. Who happened to have arrived in Wilmington on the day I was weighing pro & cons. I gave her the trip background for maybe 5 minutes. She read the itinerary for maybe another 5 and confidently announced “we’re doing this”. To which I replied, “I didn’t invite you”. After more careful consideration the offer was also extended to Tami’s daughter Hailey as a celebration of her upcoming 14th birthday. Fulfilling River’s mission of inspiring young women to dream as big as she did.

In 1 month, Tami, Hailey and I will be traveling to Kathmandu, Nepal to meet our team & begin the 12-day trek to Everest Base Camp. WE NEED YOUR HELP SUPPORTING NEPAL. The money you generously contribute will go directly to the Community for Global Education, a nonprofit organization in Nepal that pays teachers' salaries in remote villages. Pictures of the specific school (high in the mountains) along with the Tax ID of the nonprofit are available.
