Nestor Sanchez’s Battle with Stomach Cancer
Donation protected
Hi my name is Cheryl Munroe and I’m fundraising for my Brother-in-law Nestor Sanchez and his family.
I’m broken hearted that we are in a place where we are creating this go fund me, but I’m thankful for the possibility to help out my sister, my brother-in-law and their three kids Aiva,Enzo, and max and of course their fur child Porsche.
My brother in law’s name is Nestor Sanchez he is 38 years old and he has been an employee of Toyota here in Cambridge for many years. Nestor is an easy going guy who is always willing to lend a hand whenever someone is in need. I can’t count the number of times he has saved me with various car challenges or came over to visit and changed my light bulbs to low energy ones before leaving. That is just the type of guy Nestor is. Fixing things is his super power.
He was unfortunately diagnosed with stomach cancer in August of this year and has been doing his best to fight for his life. Due to the type of cancer he has been receiving treatment at Grand River hospital and at London Heath Sciences.
Unfortunately last week we were given the news that the cancer has spread and treatment options are limited. This means a referral to Toronto and the United States, more time in and out of the hospital and my sister needing to be able to take time off of work.
Nestor is strong and he is a bright light who has been so positive for his family and himself. He is the main income for his family and with the current situation it has been increasingly challenging for my sister to be able to have unpaid time off to travel to London and get him to required care here.
They are need in support and hope. It is my ask that you would consider donating to this man in whatever way you can to help him and his family through this very challenging time. The money will go to support loss of income, medical supplies that are not covered and if any is left over it will go to the children’s education plans. We are hoping to allow them some time together without the major financial burden during this very sad time.
Thank you
