Please help Netra Get Back on the Road

Hi, my name is Netra F., and I’m a hairstylist working at Pure Concepts Salon in Carmel, Indiana. Recently, I was in a car accident that totaled my vehicle—my main source of transportation for both work and my household. I don’t expect anyone to help me pay off my damaged car or buy a new one, but I do need help covering transportation costs so I can continue working and rebuilding.
After searching for eight months, I finally found a salon I love, where I can continue doing the work I’m passionate about. But without a car, getting to multiple job locations, gathering supplies, and maintaining my livelihood has become incredibly difficult. I’ve been taking on extra hair services and odd jobs to save up, and so far, I’ve put together $400. My goal is to raise $1,300 to help cover transportation expenses while I get back on my feet.
As one of the few trans hairstylists in Central Indiana specializing in gender-affirming hair, I know firsthand that just saying a space is “inclusive” isn’t enough—trans representation matters. I want to continue providing a safe, affirming space for my clients, but I need a little help to keep going.
I’ll be honest—asking for financial help is really hard for me. I’ve always done my best to handle things on my own, so this isn’t easy. That’s why, as a way to show my gratitude, I’m open to trading hair services (within reason) for those who donate. Any extra funds raised will go toward covering the fees I’ve accumulated during my time off work. I will also be posting receipts on my Instagram to show exactly where the money is going.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting me during this time. Your kindness means the world to me!
