Nets for Nets: Nets against deadly diseases
Donation protected
Hi everyone, Brian Young here! I'm thrilled to have you join us in our mission to protect children in Playa Grande from mosquito-borne diseases!
Before attending medical school, I lived and taught in Playa Grande, a beautiful fishing village tucked away in Southern Mexico. This charming community faces unique challenges, with limited access to education and healthcare. Unfortunately, children here are particularly vulnerable to diseases like Zika, Dengue Chikungunya, and Malaria due to their lack of proper mosquito protection.
While living in Playa Grande, I met Alexis, a local mother, who shared the heartbreaking reality of their situation. Their only defense against mosquitoes was placing fans near their sleeping children, a meager attempt with little effect, especially during frequent power outages.
This situation sparked the creation of our organization. We're dedicated to providing mosquito nets to the people of Playa Grande, ensuring they receive the protection they deserve. By joining us, you can play a vital role in safeguarding their health and well-being.
Together, we can create a safer, healthier future for the children of Playa Grande. Thank you for your support!
Playa Grande's children are counting on us! Our mission is simple: provide a mosquito net for every bed (220 in total) before the rainy season hits and access becomes impossible. Each net costs just $17, but its impact is immeasurable: protection from Dengue, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases that threaten their health and future.
We're not going it alone. We're partnering with the Bacaanda Foundation (El Sueno Zapoteco) and Michel Daoust, the middle school's builder, who share our passion for safeguarding Playa Grande's children. With your support, we can reach our fundraising goal by mid-March and ensure these nets are delivered before the first raindrop falls.
Imagine the difference we can make: 220 dreams protected, 220 families breathing easier, and 220 futures brightened. Join us in this fight. Every dollar counts.
