Nevan Breder's Little Food Pantry Eagle Project

Hello friends and family! I am Nevan Breder. I am a 15-year-old Life Rank Scout from Citrus Hills, Florida, associated with the Boy Scout Troop 452. I am working on my Eagle Scout Rank, the highest and most prestigious rank in Boy Scouts. To achieve this rank, I have to complete an Eagle Scout Service Project.

 

I have chosen to build three Little Free Food Pantries in Citrus County for my project. These are small, weatherproof wooden boxes that hold canned goods and other nonperishables for those who need to take and those who are generous to give. My project aims to help feed the homeless and bring people together. I have found two locations for my pantries: the Lifetree Presbyterian Church in Crystal River and the Good Shepherd Luthern Church in Citrus Hills. I am in process of finding one more location to have a total of three pantries in the county.

 

I am here on GoFundMe because I need funding to begin, as I will be building them myself. I also plan to register them on the Little Free Pantry movement website so that they can be found easily. I hope to try to acquire donations from various hardware stores to get the materials. However, I will still need money to buy any materials I cannot. I plan to start building as soon as I have enough funding, hopefully at least by the fall of 2022, and to have them built and placed by the spring of 2023.

 

I greatly value anything you can contribute, and so will the people receiving food from the Little Free Pantries. Donations are never expected but always appreciated. If you can't donate, then get the word around. Tell a friend! Tell a family member!
