Our Story
On May 21st, 2019, we experienced the most tragic incident of our lives. Our baby girl, Neve Christopher, died at 37 weeks. She was the most wanted baby in the world and we are still so sad about our loss. After Jia's c-section, we were able to spend some time with our baby girl, but we rushed to get out of the hospital so that we could bring her to her final resting place, the mortuary.
After going through this tragedy, we discovered that there is a device, called the Caring Cradle that is able to provide the gift of time to grieving families. "The Caring Cradle is a device that offers a more dignified, comfortable way for parents and families to spend time with their baby immediately following infant loss. By cooling the precious body of a baby, the natural changes that occur in death are slowed. This allows parents memory making time; out of town family to arrive; pictures to be taken; and above all the ability to hold, rock, bathe, and cuddle the baby without worry or rush." This is an intimate pain that you cannot imagine unless you experience it. Having gone through this tragedy, we would like to ease the suffering of future families in this situation. To honor the memory of our baby girl, we will be donating Caring Cradle devices to local hospitals. Each device costs $5000 and so we greatly appreciate the support of our community to make this happen.
