New Bern 8U All-Star Baseball Team

The New Bern 8U Babe Ruth All-star Baseball Team is on fire this year! We were undefeated Champions in the District 5 Tournament and brought home 2nd place in a very close game against Winterville in the NC Babe Ruth State Tournament 8U Cal Ripken age division. Our All-stars now have earned the opportunity to play in the Southeast Region Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament being hosted in Lawrenceburg, TN and they want to go! They will face teams that are from FL, GA, SC, VA, NC, and TN. We are so proud of the talent,perseverance, teamwork, sweat and tears these boys have put in over the entire course of the 2023 baseball season and we’re not done! The excitement of earning a chance like this could be once in a lifetime for these boys. It has been almost 10 years since an 8U team has had this opportunity and we are here to support our New Bern boys as they advance further!

We need help from our community though! Youth sports are a big part of our town and important for our children. We try to keep the cost down so that all of our kids can participate in our regular season, but as we compete and advance further and further, we need our community’s help! We need to raise almost $25,000 for our team to be able to compete in Regionals. We know this is a large amount, but this will be a huge experience for these boys!
