New bump in the road ..

As many of you know I gave birth to my son on Aug 14. A beautiful blessing❤️ However , at my last appointment before delivery my doctor noticed an enlarged lump on the right side of my neck. When she asked about it I shrugged it off as I always do because I’ve had it for years and assumed it was just a swollen lymph node from when i was sick years ago ...she wasn’t having it . She insisted I get an ultrasound to check it out, which I did , and then from there I was scheduled for a biopsy . On Sept 2nd my biopsy was done and on September 5th I was told I have thyroid cancer and it’s infecting my lymph nodes . I was then sent to a surgeon at UIC who has scheduled me for surgery on Oct 26th to have my thyroid removed and hopefully all the infected lymph nodes .

Although I have the upmost faith that I will be just fine …the stress comes in financially. I had budgeted and saved up enough to get me through the month of October after baby —with a return to work before Halloween. With this news I won’t be able to return to work until well into December. I figured I could still bake to kind of cushion the blow but then I was informed that wasn’t an option as I will have to have radiation treatments after surgery .

So this is me swallowing my pride and asking for a little help as I will have no income for quite longer than anticipated. Im only asking for enough just to cover two months worth of bills-November & December - as I’m assuming I will be able to return back to work in December and begin to get back on my feet .
