Boston's first Black LGBT Media Outlet

Representation matters and our health, safety, and livelihood depend on it! Trans women of color are being murdered at an alarming rate, more than any other group of people. They are also the most marginalized and underrepresented community. MSM of color are 3x more likely to contract HIV than their heterosexual counterparts. Only 2.4% of businesses have black owners in the U.S. Even with these statistics, POC & Queer BIPOC still have the least representation within written, television, or big-screen media, with less than 7% of the total representation.
The reality is, without proper representation and education, members of black/brown/queer/trans communities will continue to be disproportionately affected by these adversities. The Black Improper is Boston's first QTBIPOC multimedia platform that aims to change this reality. Please help us build a platform that educates our community and celebrates POC and QTBIPOC artists, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Your assistance will help fund a multimedia Magazine and podcast highlighting black and brown entrepreneurs in Boston and surrounding areas and celebrating the arts of queer and trans cultures. The outlet will also be used to educate members of the QTBIPOC community and their allies/supporters about the experiences faced and resources that can help.
