Enkyoji Kanjin Meditation Center Building Project
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit the moving of Seattle Choeizan Enkyoji Nichiren Buddhist Temple to purchase a space and develop the Enkyoji Kanjin Meditation Center that will house the temple, monastery, dojo, and meditation center. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Our temple is at the forefront of the propagation and education of the teaching of Buddhism in the United States. We have decided that in the further development of teachings and practices, we will need to relocate to grow our temple. We have had a wonderful 10 years in our current location, but we are looking to expand our space to offer a wide variety of educational opportunities to people towards experiential Buddhist practice.
The new space will allow us to implement new programs offered outside of Japan. These will include the study of Mindfulness, Ayurveda, Yoga and Macrobiotic educational opportunities that will allow us to live and experience Buddhism in our lives.
We are developing the basis for our practice in Kanjin 観心 meaning to have, "correct observation of the mind".
Things that we are taking into consideration in the location of the new Enkyoji Kanjin Meditation Center:
• Availability of public transportation
• Close to highway access
• Living quarters for long/short term practitioners
• Multi-use space
• Meditation and lecture space
• Dojo Space for Martial Arts and Yoga
We three levels of donations that will be recorded on a special Mandala Gohonzon that will be displayed and prayed to each Anniversary for the "Enkyoji Meditation Center".
The three levels that will be indicated on the Mandala are:
$10,000 and above
$5,000-$10,000
$1,000-$5,000
These amounts can be what you donate during the fundraising campaign. It can be done as a single donation or over time.
Donations over $10,000 will have the donor's name permanently displayed as a NaFuda (Name Board) in the Main Hall.
We are a 501 3(C) so all donations can be used as deductions
