New Flag Pole Fund

I'm helping to raise money to benefit Friends of Fort Frederick State Park, Inc, in their continued efforts to raise money for a new Historical Flag pole for Fort Frederick. Any donation will help make an impact. To date we have raised over $10,000 for the project through multiple fundraising efforts, but this is not nearly enough to get the proper flag pole installed. The Pole you see in the photo is not historically correct, nor as tall as it should be, or located in the right place. It's actually what left of the old flagpole that broke many years ago, and the Park Staff salvaged it the best they could. I always find it amazing what things are discovered over time with historical sites thanks to the Parks's Staff and their continuous research. One only needs to visit the Fort to see and hear the Story of the Fort Gates to understand. Thank You in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Our mission is to support all aspects of the Park; historical and interpretive programs, nature education, and all recreational aspects. We provide volunteer and financial support with historical clothing for staff, display items, program supplies, equipment, repairs and improvements not covered in the state budget for the Park.
