I’m Alberto Navarra, a flautist from Italy. This season and next season bring some exciting opportunities for me, with prestigious concerts and competitive auditions on the horizon. It is a necessary time for me to embrace a new instrument, which can keep up with my professional needs and blossoming journey.

Having studied at the top institutes in Italy and Spain, Alberto Navarra came to widespread public attention in Spring of 2022 as winner of the flute category at the Carl Nielsen International Competition. A flourishing solo and chamber musician, Alberto also won a place as a member of the prestigious Karajan Akademie this season, with the Berliner Philharmoniker.

After visiting the Daminelli Pietro shop in Bergamo in January this year, I found the flute that was perfect for me - a Muramatzu 14k Gold flute with silver keys. It was love at first sight and what I love about this flute is its beautiful sweet tone, the possibilities within the sound colours it can make, and the projection, which is so important as a soloist.

Having found the right instrument at the right moment, it was still a huge financial leap to make, which involves an ongoing repayment plan. I am grateful for your support in anything that you can donate.
