New Gentle Men And New Gentle Women - Bursary Fund

Inspired by my very dear and most beloved friend John Nugent, who very sadly took his own life recently, a formidable league of extraordinary 'New Gentle Men' and 'New Gentle Women' are forming. John was a man who optimised what it is to be a truly open hearted and very gentle leader, qualities that I believe are very much needed at this time in our history.

John's surname of Nugent, or New Gent, says it all really. In knowing him so well and indeed loving him so much I believe that I am now meant to use my word-smithing skills to allow his name to live on through my men's and women's circles, where a new band of warriors, a new clan of earth stewards, true Allies Of Nature, will now gather in his honour.

In 2018 according to National Statistics UK there were 6500 deaths from suicide of which 4900 (75%) were men. By far the highest percentage of them were those in the age bracket of 45 - 49 (John was actually 59).

As we reach middle age and beyond, we can lose sight of our life purpose, our dream, if things are not going right for us and we start to feel isolated in our existence. We can descend into deep despair, entering into what I call 'the slow' of our life, where we can start to entertain thoughts of not being here any more, passive suicidal ideations. It will require a new mindset, a jolt to our system, to bounce us out of our rut and thus kick start our journey to rediscovering our joy and indeed purpose for living again.

I am reminded of the film 'Gladiator' where Russell Crowe as Maximus, the great Roman Warrior, is attempted to be executed by his arch rival Commodus. Commodus fails but the Roman Army do succeed in killing Maximus' wife and child. Maximus races home to Spain, to try and save them, all in vain. On arrival, at his farmstead, he sees his family already slain. Bereft and heart broken by their loss, exhausted by his pursuit, Maximus is picked up by a wondering band of slaves led by their master Proximo. Unknown to Maximus, Proximo supplies all of his slaves as gladiators to the great Roman amphitheatres.

Maximus expresses his wish to die and be with his wife and child in the afterlife to his friend Juba the African who accompanies him on the journey, but Juba continually reminds Maximus by way of reply, 'Ah, but not yet my friend', implying to him that his life's purpose or destiny is yet to be fulfilled, delaying his departure from this earthly plane.

This is what I believe myself, that there is indeed a higher purpose for all of us in being here, and by giving each other support and raising all of our vibes together we can indeed find what that is through these 'New Gentle Men' and 'New Gentle Women' circles. For what is sorely needed now by all of our people and Mother Earth herself is to be handled with kindness, compassion and gentleness, with kid gloves in fact.

Here we stand as new more gentle leaders, as protectors and guardians of the planet. We are aware of all that we wish to preserve across our globe so that we can restore our world to a place of true wholeness and venerate all of life back to the heights it deserves to be.

I believe that these intrepid warriors will be formed from all classes, creeds and genders across our society so if you are a person that feels that they have been blessed with an amount of abundance in their life and care to contribute to a person's personal development who perhaps hasn't been so lucky in being dealt the hand of cards that they have been, please feel free to give generously to this new epoch that is beginning to come into existence, where we are endeavouring to rebalance our society and live more alignment with Gaia herself.

Any contributions from yourself would be most gratefully received. Thanks very much in advance for your generous donation to the cause.

Much love, Simon x
