New guitar for Gavin Thomas

I'm a friend and fan of our wonderful local musician Gavin Thomas, who performs live online and at local events and also hosts numerous charity music events in the Guildford area.

His working guitar, a Maton, is about 16 years old and is nearing the end of its life. It's already been refretted three times (!) and likely will need replacing in the next few months. We hope to keep the fundraising effort secret until we're ready to present him the money to buy a new performance guitar.

Those who are fans of Gavin's work might want to contribute help him buy a replacement instrument since he has been giving so much to our community over the years. Replacement guitars of the kind he uses start at about £2000, but I was hoping to raise about £3000 to help him get a reallly good one. We'll all benefit from him 'keeping music live'
