New Legs For Sanchez

Hi, I am Shena. An avid animal rescuer for over 20 years. In my time i've rescued over 2000 animals. This is Sanchez, my paraplegic narcissistic cat!

Sanchez is a paraplegic kitty from an accident when he was a baby. In the initial injury, he lost all use of his back legs which caused him to adjust how he used the legs.

This led to malformation. He had a rough start where he was found nearly dead completely infested with fleas from head to toe (you could see a blanket of fleas swarming). This kitty is nothing but fight to survive.

Fast-forward 7 months, Sanchez now has full feeling in the legs! However, with the malformation, he's running into all sorts of trouble! Sanchez is a natural-born acrobat and rebel. He climbs and jumps off of EVERYTHING he shouldn't just to prove a point. I always joke "Sanchez would jump out of airplanes if he could"

This cat truly knows no limits. He picks on his fellow resident cats and his main goal in life is to squish and tackle anything smaller than him.

Sanchez's best friend is a geriatric former feral cat (shown in the photo) who spends his days cleaning Sanchez for 20 minutes at a time (I think he knows sanchez has a hard time with this).

Sanchez needs an initial assessment and specialized treatment to get him adaptive equipment and/or surgery so he can resume some of the function in his legs. My dream for sanchez is that he can one day catch a fly (I KNOW thats his main goal on his heart).

My fear is that without this specialized treatment, Sans legs will continue to develop wounds that will get infected from his constant play.

Sanchez has already had one run-in with an injured leg where it swelled up and looked to be dislocated. He needs a vet that can handle his unique condition ASAP.

Sanchez (or san man i call him) is TRULY friends with any cat or human he meets. He rushes quickly to greet you and give you or any unwanting cat head butts and cuddles.

I'm not sure of the exact cost of his operation (could be more could be slightly less), but any unused funds will immediately be donated back to one of dozens of other rescue missions I work with similar to Sans.
