Expenses for Masjid Expansion Costs

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque (masjid) for Allaah, then Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

My dear brothers and sisters, our maktabah is only 300 sq ft, designated for both brothers and sisters. Due to this limited space, we face challenges accommodating the growing number of attendees for each Jumu'ah and the 6 weekly classes.

With only one washroom available, brothers and sisters must alternate accessing this.

Parking is restricted to one space. The only entrance to the maktabah is shared with the grocery store below.

Classes: We need additional space to accommodate both brothers and sisters separately, this will allow for these classes be held concurrently in separate rooms. Alhamdulillah, progress is being made, although the implementation is proving challenging.

After seeking advice from Shaykh Hasan As Somali, we have started looking for properties for purchase. The properties range between 450K to 700K.

The space will be 1500 sq ft, with the ability to build another floor in the future.

We will start with Phase 1 of the goal and try to raise 150,000 CAD to make a down payment, and purchase the property interest free from the property's owner.

In order, to obtain a property similar to this, we will need to have $150,000 in down payment to be able to convince the owner to give us the property interest free for 2 years.
