New Name, New Life

Hi, I am Frederike and I am doing this crowdfunding for a friend whose work I have been following for years. He is a journalist and worked in the country's I've been following and visiting, and has been accepted in the Netherlands as a refugee earlier this year. He is looking forward to start a new life and build a future here, but there is one thing that needs to be done before he can start this new life he is so looking forward to: he needs to change his name.

Why? His family remains in his home country, and he has been a critical journalist about all kinds of groups that are active there. And he wants to remain in journalism and not get his family in trouble. He has a lawyer and his first name was changed without charge, but for his last name, he needs EUR 949. An additional EUR 304 is needed for a new ID. Together: EUR 1253. He showed me all the documents involved, my friend has learned a lot about Dutch bureaucracy for sure!

He obviously can't start this crowdfunding himself nor share it. He asked me for help. So let's do this! EUR 1253, that must be doable in a few days! Will you help my friend start a New Life, with a New Name?
