More family fun - please help me buy new obstacle course inflatables for Birtley Community Pool

Having a fun time at Birtley Baths every Saturday morning when I was a child used to be the highlight of my week. And something I used to look forward to doing with my sister and brothers, as well as our friends after a busy week at school. These precious memories have stayed with me throughout my adult life and why even now being in water is my happy place!

So, imagine my disappointment when in 2023 Gateshead Council closed my beloved swimming baths. Together, as a group of volunteers and with the support of numerous supporters, we reopened the pool to the public as Birtley Community Pool in September 2024.

The new charity (Birtley Community Aquatic Centre) has focused on getting the funding to get the pool reopened, however now we wish to buy some new obstacle course inflatables so more families can enjoy fun water time together.

The cost of the new inflatables is £9,353 and through grant giving organisations we have applied for £6,500 of funding but even so we are still £2,853 short to buy them.

As Chair of the Trustees Board, I would love to get these fun inflatables and that is why I am asking people to help fill the gap of £2,853. Please support me!
