Help Fund a New Orphanage in Jinja, Uganda
Donation protected
We are happy to announce that we have been so blessed in 2020, that we are now able to create a GoFundMe page thanks to the help of our American friend, Aunt Jenny!
If you are new to this ministry, I would like to give you a little recap and introduction to the cause. My name is Kigozi Hakim, a young man who was once an orphan myself. In 2016 I founded Good Shepherd Ministry when I realized the extensive need for an orphanage and safe haven for neglected children. I decided to dedicate my life to the children, as well as the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and begin my new path. My first year I had just 6 children, however the good news traveled quickly and today we now serve the full-time needs of 65 children.
Our orphanage is located in Jinja, Uganda, an Eastern city, located just north of World renowned Lake Victoria. Currently the children reside on a leased piece of land. We are so very blessed that recently, we were able to purchase small a plot of land, one which we have been graciously able to plant and grow our own crops. We have planted a small orchard and are anxious to soon gather bananas from the trees. Our dream and goal is to one day build an orphanage for the children on our very OWN LAND! A dream so big, that we are asking for your generous donation to help build this new orphanage. A home for over 60 children. A home the children of the Good Shepherd Ministry can call their very own!
We believe if we start slowly, one dollar, one donation at a time, brick by brick, we will achieve this goal!
A builder in the area calculated materials would cost around $10,000 US. That includes cement, sand, bricks, labour and other expenses we may need.
We are always dreaming big and pray and believe that the good Lord is with us and we’ll achieve this goal.
God bless everyone that helps us through this.
