New Pavilion at Pirton
Donation protected
My name is Simon Maple, and on behalf of Pirton Parish Council, we invite you to contribute to building a new Pavilion at the Pirton Recreation Ground.
The existing building is an ex-building site work hut, and was installed at the Recreation Ground in the 1970s. It has served us very well, but now needs replacing. It is poorly insulated, doesn't have a damp course, and the showers and toilets are in very poor condition and don't meet modern standards.
We aim to create a community asset for the growing number of residents, for the future. The new building will be sustainable, with high levels of insulation, solar panels, and air source heat pumps and will meet the needs of village groups like the youth club and sports clubs, including football, cricket and tennis.
We have applied for planning permission and seek to commence build in 2023, with the funding proposed to come from Section 106 money provided by housing developers, grants, sponsorship, donations, fund raising and a loan.
The Parish Council will be very grateful for all donations, and for donations over £100 your name (or the name of a relative or friend) can be included on a board to be displayed in the new pavilion if you wish.
