New Pianos for Akron Music Institute

Hi everyone! I’m Alexandre Marr, owner of the future Akron Music Institute, Downtown Akron’s premier school of music scheduled to open in Spring 2024! We will be offering piano, cello, violin, guitar, and voice lessons to students of ALL ages and skill levels, taught by an incredible faculty of artist teachers. Opening AMI has been a dream of mine since I first started teaching piano lessons 15 years ago, and I am excited to finally be making it a reality. Now we need YOUR help.

I am looking to outfit the studio with 3 new Yamaha pianos: 2 baby grands and 1 upright instrument. Everyone knows pianos are expensive, but having a high quality instrument for lessons is crucial to a student’s success in understanding proper technique and clarity of tone. I’m looking to raise $20,000 to contribute to this $53,000 expense by the school’s Fall 2023 opening!

These pianos will be played under the hands of hundreds of students for years to come, inspiring our next generation of musicians (and adult students, too)!
