New scoreboards in honor of Paul Kay

Earlier this year the Spartan Club of Valley Stream North lost its long-time president and friend, Paul Kay.  Paul was not only the president of the Spartan Club for many years, he was a fixture at many athletic events at Valley Stream North.  Paul volunteered countless hours of his time to the Spartan Club and in turn, the athletic teams at North.  In particular, he could always be found outdoors during spring baseball games helping the team keep score.  Whether it was an ice-cold day in March or a hot and humid game in May, Paul would proudly keep score and assist.  Following a win, no one would be happier than Paul.  The North baseball field was always a special place for Paul, near and dear to his heart.   

Paul had long talked about upgrading the baseball field in some way.  The Spartan Club plans to purchase scoreboards for both the softball and baseball field.  The scoreboards will be dedicated to Paul Kay and will include a top panel, where Paul’s name can be honored forever.
