New Senior Women's First 8
Donation protected
Our main goal at Lancaster University Boat Club in the upcoming academic year is to raise money for and purchase a new senior women's first 8. We are a competitive and growing club with strong athletes and a high potential, however some of the equipment is not up to the standard the competitors are! The women have trained extremely hard this year with excellent results such as winning the elite 8+ at Durham regatta. However they've also been 2nd by close margins such as at North of England head, where they came 2nd by 2 seconds. So by buying a better boat, it will help to bridge the gap. Setting the goal of purchasing a new boat for the top 8 of our senior women will also benefit both the senior women's second 8 and the novice women's squad, as current eights will be passed down. Please consider donating to this worthy cause to support the ongoing improvement of our Boat club.
We currently have our eyes on a 2016 Filipi 8 which has been raced at the 2016 Rio Olympics before being purchased by Agecroft. With your donations we are looking highly likely to be able to make this purchase.
