New shelter facilities for RESCUE DOGS in Portugal

A MARAnimais - Movimento de Apoio e Reinserção de Animais - é uma associação sem fins lucrativos, fundada em 2007, com sede em Ovar.
Somos todos voluntários, não há qualquer tipo de remuneração.
Ajudamos animais em situações de risco, com atuação em:
● Mitigação da sobrepopulação
● Combate ao Abandono
● Sensibilização de crianças e jovens
● Adoção responsável
● Campanhas de Esterilização
● Denuncia de Maus tratos
● Promoção do Bem-Estar animal
Cuidamos diretamente de 85 cães e 30 gatos, atualmente, dos quais 60 cães estão alojados no nosso abrigo, em Espinho.
Atualmente o nosso abrigo tem instalações e infraestruturas precárias.
Queremos melhorar as condições higieno-sanitárias, e proceder ao licenciamento do abrigo.
Contamos com o voluntariado de Projetistas (Arquitecto e Engenheiros) no desenvolvimento do projeto das novas instalações.
FASE 1 [ATUALIZADO]
● 1500m2 de Área de intervenção
● 4 novas alas com 5-7 Boxes e 3-5 cães/box, num TOTAL DE 23 NOVAS BOXES.
● Decapagem e movimentos de terras, com o apoio do RE3 Regimento de Engenharia
● Fundações e muretes em alvenaria
● Vedações em painel de malha eletrosoldada
● Infraestrutura enterrada:
● Redes prediais de água e esgotos
● Infraestrutura elétrica
● Drenagem natural e Paisagismo
● ESTIMATIVA: €2500/BOX ; €15000 / ALA [ATUALIZADO]
OBJETIVO DA CAMPANHA: 2 NOVAS BOXES PATROCINADAS EXCLUSIVAMENTE COM CROWDFUNDING!

• Rescue, treatment and reintegration
• Overpopulation and Abandonment
• Responsible adoption
• Sterilization campaigns
• Denounces of Animal Abuse and maltreatment
• Raising awareness among children and youth
• Promotion of animal welfare
We all are volunteers, there is no remuneration whatsoever.
Currently we directly care for 85 dogs and 30 cats, of which 60 dogs are housed in our shelter.
At present our shelter has poor facilities and infrastructure.
PLAN:
We want to IMPROVE the hygienic-sanitary conditions, and acquire environmental and administrative licencing.
We rely on voluntary designers (Architects and Engineers) in the development of the project for the new facilities.
PHASE 1 – [UPDATED]
• 1500m2 of intervention area
• 4 NEW CLUSTERS, with 5-7 Boxes per Cluster, in a TOTAL OF 23 NEW BOXES.
• Stripping and earthmoving, supported by RE3 - Military Unit of the Portuguese Army )
• Prefabricated materials - enhance the cost-effectiveness
• Masonry foundations and walls
• Fences in prefab strong mesh panels
• Embedded Infrastructure: Electrical, Water plumbing, sewage and waste management
• Natural rain drainage and Landscaping
• BUDGET: €2500/BOX ; €15000 / CLUSTER [UPDATED]
