New Tires for the Solidarity Bus
The Solidarity Bus is currently making its second trip fron NYC in solidarity to Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Bill Hill and five other water protectors are bringing support and supplies. However, winter is coming, and in North Dakota, it gets especially frigid. The camps are winterizing, and presently in need of appropriate supplies. In order to able to continue doing these trips, the bus will need new all weather tires, and that's where we need your help. If we reach our goal, 20% of extra donations will be directly donated to the Oceti Sakowin Camp, and the remaining 80% will be directed towards sponsoring future trips . We are already organizing a trip that will happen in November, and have no plans to stop planning them.
Bill Hill has been driving this bus in solidarity to different causes and humanitarian emergencies since the early 90's. Since the 90's, Bill drives a caravan to Cuba, organized by IFCO/Pastors for Peace , an organization that fights agains the embargo and brings supplies to the island. Bill also drove to New Orleans after the levees broke, to the Mexico border to protest against inhumane immigration policies, just to mention a few. We are a group of at least 20 people organizing around the Solidarity Bus, and have been raising funds for the trips out of our pockets and through word of mouth, but now is a time when wider support is needed and highly appreciated. Help us bring winter supplies to Standing Rock!
