New year's Fireworks - December 31, 2024

The Committee for Lorne in a joint project with Lorne Business and Tourism Association, is planning to stage fireworks in Lorne on New Year's Eve.

We arranged to have fireworks on New Year's Eve 2023 and the business community and the general community provided great support to raise the necessary funds

Historically, fireworks in Lorne on New Years Eve have been a great spectacle with the fireworks being launched off the Pier. Once again, the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority have been very supportive of our initiative to bring back the fireworks and we thank them for that.

We intend to raise the funds to have fireworks at 9.30pm and midnight. Your support is vital to ensure we have sufficient funds to make this the spectacle we all came to know and love on New Years Eve in Lorne.

In the event that the initial fund-raising goal is achieved and exceeded, the excess funds will be used for local tourism community events including future fireworks in conjunction with the LBTA and Committee for Lorne
