New Zealand in a Frame
When the Covid-19 outbreak saw borders close worldwide and our flights out of New Zealand were cancelled, we initially felt trapped. But we soon decided there were far worse places to be stuck than “safe and beautiful” New Zealand. So, when the nationwide lockdown ended, we set out on a spontaneous mission to walk, canoe and cycle the length of New Zealand, exploring some of the country’s most untouched landscapes along the way.
We pretty much transformed a crisis into a new opportunity and we decided to walk, canoe and bike through some of the most remote and pristine places this country has to offer, taking photographs along the way and making a series of videos of our adventure. We keep reminding ourselves that we are so lucky to have gotten stuck in here and get to explore these beautiful islands.
But we are only half way there. We just finished walking and canoeing the length of the North Island (1.700 km) and we are now in Wellington preparing to cross the Cook Strait and start the South Island which we want to explore using bikes. To finance the remaining part of our journey we want to reward those helping us with a photograph and a hand written letter directly from New Zealand.
For 25 GBP (≈32 USD) you will receive a digital photograph from us by e-mail, alongside a short customized message related to our journey, in a few days time.
For 50 GBP (≈65 USD) you will receive a physical photograph from us to your physical address, alongside a hand written short letter related to our journey, sometime during our journey.
Our journey is supposed to end on Stewart Island but we are dreaming of getting all the way down to Antarctica. So be part of our adventure. Support us and get a "piece" of New Zealand from us!
