NEWBURGH ACTION GROUP CHRISTMAS LIGHTS APPEAL 2024

As Christmas approaches the excitement is starting to grow especially for the residents of our small town it means one thing, our joyful, inventive, unique, quirky and very original Christmas Lights are being switched on.

Newburgh Action Group (NAG) has a very strong relationship with the local community that it supports. We are a small town in North East Fife with a vibrant community spirit and take pride in the environment that local’s and visitors experience. We would very much like that spirit to continue through our wonderful festive display of lights especially our world known Primary School Competition Winning Lights, which started in 2002 and there is now 22 of them.

The Annual Christmas Lights in the town is seen by all and those who travel through our town on their onward journey. The lights have always brought a brightness over the dark midwinter nights, whilst also bringing its usual sparkle.

The funds raised will be used so that we can continue to put up, store and maintain our unique Christmas Lights Display. The unique Christmas lights bring so much joy and it is so nice to see them every year.

A former winner in 2021 said “ It is a big competition in the school as everyone really wants to have their drawings come to life. I still feel proud when my light goes up each year and she hopes to continue to see them when they are older so they can have that connection to the town and that we are able to keep them up for a long time and get new winners.

Being named most picturesque Scottish location to visit in the Winter in 2022 and the attention of the Media from all over the UK and the World, we have definitely put our small Scottish Town on the map.

We are excited to see this year’s winning light number 23 go up.
