Newcastle all ages venue bond.

As you can see, the $600 has been met! Words can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for everyone who has helped out and donated! the amount of support has been intense.

I did expect this to take a lot longer than 2 and a half days so the contest that I am running to win a merch pack is still going, the end date was set for the 12 of december. I know there are some people who wanted to enter this contest and didn't have the money at the time so I don't want to kill their chances!

All money that exceeds the $600 will go towards equipmet to make the shows bigger and better!!

Alright so, with Drone closing down last week Newcastle is left without a decent all ages venue for local and touring bands(as far as I am aware).

Recently I met with the manager of a Lake Macquarie council managed venue with a pretty cheap rate on venue hire, decent sized room(150-200 capacity) and a pretty good location, close to public transport. 

Seeing as I have a full time job, I am not doing this to make money. All the money from the doors, after the venue and equipment hire is payed for, will be split among the bands.

The only reason I have started a GoFundMe is to pay the bond on the room hire. Once the bond is given to the venue, I will never ask for it back, I will have it put straight on the next event. So, to put it plainly, once the bond is raised it will go straight to the venue, if there is any damage done to the venue, the bond will be taken from us and there won't be another show unless the bond is raised again.

TLDR: I am willing to volunteer my time into this without expecting to take anything from it, all I ask is a little help with raising the bond. 

Anything above the $600 raised will just be put into shows in some way!
