Newlyweds in Horrific Car Accident

Update: First of all thank you so much for the donations, prayers, text, and messages. Christina and Chance made it home just in time for Christmas. The journey home was hard on both of them. They are staying with family while Christina heals and regains her strength. Please keep them both in your prayers.

Update: The past week has been a whirlwind as you can imagine, but Chance and Christina are real warriors. Chance is recovering very well (which is a miracle after seeing pictures of the car). Christina is making remarkable progress. She is still in the hospital in California, but was able to take 10 steps yesterday. She could possibly be released in 1-2 more weeks to travel back to Oklahoma. Please keep them in your prayers as this has been so traumatizing for them both as well as their families. Lets pray that these two newlyweds get to come home for Christmas and that they continue to heal. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support.

This fundraiser is for Chance and Christina Sistrunk. The newlyweds were on their honeymoon in California when tragedy struck. They were hit head-on by another vehicle. Chance suffered moderate injuries while Christina Layden Sistrunk suffered major injuries including a broken femur, torn artery and intestines, and a fractured vertebra. She has had two surgeries since the accident. Christina remains hospitalized, it is unsure as to when she will be released and able to travel home to Oklahoma.

Money raised will help with medical-related expenses while the couple is recovering and unable to work. The newlyweds have been married barely two weeks. This is certainly not the way this young couple envisioned the beginning of their life together. Donations and prayers are truly appreciated.
