My name is Cassidy Flud and my sister is Kate Monahan, sister in law with Megan Newnan. As a community that loves the Newman Family we are raising funds to help pay the cost of the funeral, medical bills for the boys and to help Megan moving forward as a single mother.

Words from Megan...

July 4 2023 Jared passed away in a plane accident. Miraculously my 3 older boys who were flying with him have survived and are stable at Radys Childrens Hospital in San Diego. We are surrounded by family and have been attended by angels, including our own Jared. He is near. In my grief and my heartache I also have 3 beautiful miracles to kiss today. He made sure he protected over them and brought them safely to me…and that is all I could ever ever want in life. Please pray for my beautiful boys, prayer is keeping us going today.

Connor and Caleb are alert this morning. Connor had surgery overnight to put a rod in his broken femur and to suture several lacerations. He could not wait to finally drink cold water this morning and it’s a pleasure he won’t soon forget. Connor has the most memory of what happened yesterday including being next to his dad. Please pray for him to find comfort, he is so tough but has also been through a lot. ****** Caleb has a broken clavicle, pulmonary contusions (bruising), lacerations and black eyes. No significant head trauma though. Caleb is being brave but is very sad. He is looking forward to seeing his friends and dog very soon.

Elijah sustained more serious injuries. He has a broken mandible (jaw) that he has surgery on last night. He has more significant pulmonary contusions (bruises) than Caleb, and a lacerated liver. He is intubated but only to give his body a break, he can breathe on his home. He has no sign of brain injury and in between sedation follows commands beautiful. He is stable and everything looks good, we are just giving his body time to heal.
