Newry Hospice & Crossmaglen Rainbow club
Conor McShane & Peter McKeever will take part in the 170km Ring of kerry charity cycle on 6th July.
In the process We aim to raise funds to be split evenly between two great local organisations: Southern Area Hospice & Crossmaglen Rainbow Club
Sadly in 2021 peter lost his mum Majella McKeever to cancer and 3 years on this July, in fact on the weekend of Majellas anniversary we will take part in The Ring of Kerry cycle in her memory!
The Ring of Kerry is the most spoken about cycle route in the country of Ireland. It has gained popularity due to the annual Ring of Kerry event hosted on the first Saturday of July each year. The event attracts thousands of cyclists with varying abilities who come to enjoy the challenge.
The first charity we are supporting is the Southern Area Hospice. This is an organisation that sadly too many homes know too well and have had first hand experience of the fantastic work that they carry out with cancer patients and their families,
The Second Charity is The Rainbow
Club, in Crossmaglen. This organisation is for children and adults with special learning and additional needs. This organization is the heart of our community for local families that need and require additional support for all social aspects of children / adult’s lives,
The Rainbow Club provide outings and organize many social events for children and adults in the local community.
The Rainbow Club was in-valuable to majella and her family, in the life of peters uncle Miceal.
The Rainbow Club is all voluntary, they are a wonderful group of caring and hardworking people, who deserve money in the pot to organize more events and allow other local families to create memories!
Thank you all in advance for your support
