Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting our page.
We are currently located in Kangiqsujuaq Quebec, Canada, a remote community in Northern Quebec. We have a couple of graduates and their classmates who decided to experience the traditions, histories, and identities of another First Nations group half across the world.
Our students who identify as Inuit want to explore the Maori First Nations in NewZealand whom they started to develop a connection in the last couple of years. A Maori male who had visited the community discusses the importance of cultural identity and Pride in First Nations, Inuit, and Metis youth. We hope to bring back a video or memory package from NZ, so the youth of Kangiqsujuaq can share their experiences with the rest of the community.
If you fund us today, you will help us with our air flight ticket as air costs are quite expensive from northern communities in Canada.
We plan on going on this adventure on June 1st, 2019 for 2 in a half weeks.
On behalf of the Graduation Trip Committee Team, thank you again for your support!
Marleigh (Student Support Professional) & Torie (Secondary Teacher)
