Hi, my name is Christopher and I'm writing this to help my dear friend Neysis raise funds to help offset the medical costs as she fights her stage 4 cancer.
Neysis and I taught music together, played concerts together and she has been a dear friend to my wife, also a Cuban, since the day she arrived in the United States. We've shared many moments of laughter and true friendship together, and we want to help her.
Neysis Rangel's story
Once upon a time, in the vibrant city of Matanzas, Cuba, there lived a remarkable woman named Neysis Rangel. She was a talented violinist with a heart full of passion for music. From a young age, Neysis Rangel's nimble fingers danced gracefully across the strings of her beloved instrument, painting melodies that touched the souls of all who listened.
Opportunity presented itself when she moved to the United States and was accepted into a prestigious music academy in the United States.
Years passed, and Neysis' talent shone brightly. She became a respected performer and music teacher, guiding young minds and nurturing their own musical abilities. Her passion for music was infectious.
However, life had an unexpected turn awaiting for Neysis. She received devastating news: a stage 4 metastatic carcinoma cancer diagnosis. The news hit her like a dissonant chord, threatening to silence her once-vibrant melody. Fear gripped her heart, but she refused to let it consume her spirit.
Neysis has embarked on a difficult journey of treatments, enduring the grueling side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
We’re sharing this news of Neysis’ plight to reach the hearts of those who have met her and felt her kindness. Students, colleagues, and music enthusiasts, please rally together, and support her in her in this time of need.
The funds raised will be a lifeline for Neysis, easing the financial burden of her treatments. They will be used to cover the cost of medical bills, medications, and specialized therapies that offer her hope in her fight against cancer.
Lifting the weight of financial worries from her shoulders, Neysis will be able to focus on her recovery and the music that keeps her spirit alive.
Beyond the financial support, your outpouring of love and encouragement will bring light to Neysis’ darkest days. Please share your messages of hope, reminding her that she is not alone in her fight. We ask the music community, once a source of inspiration for Neysis to unite and become her unwavering pillar of strength.
Neysis' journey is far from easy, but her resilience and unwavering spirit are carrying her through. Despite the odds stacked against her, she is facing this challenge bravely, cherishing every moment she spends with Kirk, Lucy (dog), Tula (cat) and her friends.
Please support Neysis Rangel, the courageous violinist, and help us remind her that even in the face of adversity, the power of your love, support, and music can help strengthen her will.
